Abstract

In recent years, medical imaging has become essential for diagnosis, especially brain images are sensitive and vital tools used in the medical diagnosis process. These images are produced by advanced imaging technologies such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans as doctors rely on it to determine disease conditions accurately. Therefore, given the significance of medical imaging in healthcare, protecting this sensitive information from security threats and unauthorized use is essential. This paper suggested a hybrid medical image encryption system using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), DNA, Hyperchaotic 6D, and Fibonacci, which greatly enhances the level of security and makes decryption difficult. The proposed system was performed using MATLAB, and performance was evaluated using entropy, Mean Square Error (MSE), Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), Unified Average Changing Intensity (UACI), Number of Pixel Change Rate (NPCR), the correlation coefficient, and histogram analysis. According to the results, the recommended solution outperforms the conventional approach in terms of efficiency and security. These findings indicate that the suggested scheme effective for protecting sensitive medical image in healthcare applications.
